Child Protection and Safeguarding
At Xabia International College, the protection, welfare, and safety of children is everyone’s responsibility. We provide all staff with appropriate training to recognize, report, and record concerns. We actively promote a culture of protection, professional curiosity, and duty of care.
Our center has a robust child protection policy in place, ensuring consistent practice. Our Safeguarding Lead and support teams are dedicated to making these policies part of daily life. They are always available to listen to concerns from students, staff, and parents.
We are an inclusive school that welcomes diversity, embracing principles of respect, tolerance, and anti-discrimination. While we maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards bullying and peer-on-peer abuse, we acknowledge that challenging behaviors and friendship struggles are part of growing up. Our commitment to care extends beyond school hours, integrating safeguarding practices into extracurricular activities, field trips, and exchange programs.
Safer Recruitment
Our recruitment process follows international best practices to ensure that only suitable adults work with our students. All staff undergo identity, qualification, and reference checks, as well as background and social media checks. Contracts are conditional until all standards are met, and recruitment staff receive secure recruitment training.
